Altoona, PA (WJAC) — Altoona will once again be hosting the African American Heritage Festival, in downtown Altoona.
The event will take place on July 29th and 30th, at Heritage Plaza on 11th Avenue.
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience African music and dance, food, educational presentations, arts, and children’s activities.
Organizers say that it’s a festival for everyone.
“It’s a chance to learn about the history of Blair County. It’s a chance to meet people from across many nations. This is another time to get together and celebrate all our history, and heritage as well,” the event’s chairperson Harriett Gaston said.
The festival runs from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on both days.
