JOHNSTOWN – Protesters gathered outside of the Galleria Mall Saturday, as they continue to fight for AT&T to protect their jobs in the future.

The workers said they went on strike Friday, with the hopes that the company comes to the bargaining table to protect jobs and provide income for the community.

Those protesting said more than 14,000 union employees nationwide are on strike.

“We’re terribly sorry for all the inconvenience that we may have caused our customers,” protester Patrick Collings said. “We know that this is a difficult transition in terms us trying to get what we want, but we think it’s the only way that AT&T will take us seriously and be able to provide that bargaining that we really want.”

Protesters we talked to said they plan to return to work Monday.
