(WJAC) — Hundreds of vehicles and thousands of drivers were stranded on the Pennsylvania turnpike in Bedford and Somerset counties-from Friday to Sunday night.

The National Guard was on the scene in Bedford County Saturday morning to help motorist stranded in nearly 31 inches of snow.

Many of the stranded passengers, including country star Cassadee Pope and the Duquesne Men's Basketball team shared updates with the world through social media.
