BLAIR CO, Pa (WJAC) — Family, friends and community members of four former Ebner Elementary School students dedicated a garden in their memory Friday evening.

The former students who were honored include Kea Barnes, Devon Pfirsching, Civario Ciavarella and Kaylee Kruise.

Friday’s event celebrated the dedication of the Mowrie A. Ebner Memorial Garden, which was funded by the 2019 and 2020 5th and 6th grade classes.

Ebner principal Melissa Douglas says this school district has encountered a lot if loss within the past few years, and it hasn't been easy on the students.

Organizers say this garden wouldn't have been possible without the help from the community and local businesses.
