No explosive devices found at site of McDonald's bomb threat in Philipsburg

Authorities are providing new details about the investigation into an alleged bomb threat that shut down a Philipsburg-area shopping center Tuesday morning.

Officials say state police and other emergency responders quickly set up a perimeter at the Peebles Plaza, and a bomb dog was brought in.

Investigators say the threat was reportedly called in from out of state.

After several hours, the area was re-opened with no explosive devices found.

Authorities say a reported bomb threat at a Philipsburg area fast food restaurant shut down part of a local shopping center early Tuesday morning.

State Police and emergency responders were seen at the Peeble’s Plaza in Decatur Township for hours after a threat was reportedly phoned in to the nearby McDonalds.

No further details have been provided at this time and police say the investigation is ongoing.
