
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A Centre County food processing plant has been "heavily fined" by the federal Department of Labor.
The Hanover Foods Corporation has a processing plant in Centre Hall and last year, the labor department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration opened an investigation there and has now cited the company with 70 violations.
OSHA claims the plant was in violation of dozens of safety and health hazard regulations.
The federal agency has assessed Hanover Foods with a nearly $762,000 fine.
The company has 15 days to comply or challenge the findings.
