CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say a Richland Township man is behind bars following accusations that he physically and sexually assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute.
According to the affidavit, Richland Township police were contacted on Monday to investigate an alleged assault that had occurred earlier that morning.
Police say the victim told officers that she had been in an argument with 22-year-old Logan Moore at his residence along Theatre Drive.
Authorities say Moore reportedly refused to let the victim leave the residence and then attempted to have sexual intercourse with her.
Police say at one point, Moore reportedly "ripped off" the woman's underwear and began to sexually assault her.
As they continued to argue, police say Moore also reportedly began choking the victim until she lost consciousness.
Police say Moore also later shoved the victim to the ground and "slammed" her head off of a bed.
Investigators say officers observed various injuries to the victim's face and neck.
Police say the victim was then transported to Conemaugh Hospital for treatment of her injuries and Moore was taken into custody without incident.
According to online court records, Moore was arraigned Monday afternoon on a variety of charges, including rape forcible compulsion, sexual assault and strangulation.
He is being held at the Cambria County Prison on $250,000 bail.
